It all started when a family found an amazing husky at the shelter that changed their life. It was difficult to understand at first, why so many were abandoned in shelters where their life was in grave danger. While the Siberian Husky popularity grew, so did the numbers that ended up in the shelter or found in neglected health condition, behavioral issues, and escape artistry.here in the north Texas region Forming NorTex allows us to find the right homes and families where they can thrive and become life long loving furry family members. NorTex Husky Advocates is a non profit organization located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding areas. We do not have a facility. We strive to: Foster and match huskies and mixes into lifelong loving families that have similar life-style preferences. Assist foster dogs who need a bit of guidance in being a companion dog. Support adopters who may find challenges down the road. Assist with transport of rescues when possible. Encourage others with relationship building training methods. Educate and inform others considering their first (or even second) husky. Inform others on responsible pet ownership and relaying info on various low cost spay/neuter around the metro-plex.
