No Kitty Left Behind is a 501c3 non-profit, no-kill rescue located in Rhode Island. Our mission is to aid local elderly and terminally-ill people by helping with care for their cats. Our hope is to help keep beloved kitties with their owners as long as possible by providing whatever it is they need, such as supplying food, litter, recommendations for affordable vet care, etc. We would like the elderly and terminally ill to enjoy having a companion cat without worrying about what will happen in the future. When keeping their kitty at home is no longer an option, we will provide temporary shelter until we find a forever home. We strive to connect ahead of time; to have a plan in place before our services are needed. Our goal is to save as many of these cats as we can from abandonment or an uncertain future, while supplying peace of mind for their owners.
Fill out an application for the cat you are interested in. Include two personal references with address, phone number, how long you have known them, and type of acquaintance-which can be family, friends or co-workers. It should be someone who really knows you and has seen you interact with your own pets or other people’s pets. Our adoption fees range from $100 to $250 depending on the cat and the care that was provided for them. Once we receive the completed application and references, we will make the appropriate phone calls as soon as possible. Once that is done, we can set up a time for you to meet the cat or cats at the foster home. If you decide to take them home that day, we can complete the adoption then. If you would like to go home and discuss the adoption, that is also fine with us. We just ask that you get back to us with a decision within a few days as some of our cats have multiple potential adopters. We adopt on a first-come, first-serve basis but also try to match the cats with the best possible family.
