New Beginnings Animal Rescue (NBAR) is a 501c3 nonprofit rescue group founded in Olive Branch, MS in 2011 by long time animal rescuers and fosters. We have many wonderful fosters and they are absolutely the backbone of our ability to continue our work - we can never thank them enough for what they do each day! Our rescue focuses on Mid-South area shelters in Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee, working hard to rescue animals daily - whether it be by sharing them on Facebook, bringing them into our own rescue, or networking with other rescues. Our foster homes are crucial to our ability to continue saving lives - if interested in fostering - please contact us! Through community awareness and education, we hope to promote humane and responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering animals, and the proper care and treatment of animals. Every year in the United States, an estimatedthree to four million cats and dogs are killed in animal shelters, and these rates are particularly high in the southern states. The simple fact is that there are far more cats and dogs in the world than there are people who are willing or able to be guardians. Most were recklessly or accidentally bred, resulting in a serious animal companion overpopulation crisis that causes immense suffering for its victims and heartbreak for those who work to save their lives. Pet overpopulation and homelessness is a community problem and it takes a unified effort within the community to solve it - we hope you will join us in this effort! We also help to advise those who may find themselves in the difficult situation of considering surrendering a pet during tough times, and work with them on a pet retention program. We hope by doing this to lessen the burden of homeless pets on local animal shelters and rescue groups.
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please fill adoption application form out completely. Once we receive it, we will begin the approval process and contact you within 48 hours. Please note that not everyone who applies for one of our dogs or cats will be approved. We have certain criteria that has to be met for someone to adopt one of our animals. Our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, de-wormed. We also microchip all of our puppies and dogs. If adopted out of state, the dog will have an interstate health certificate to travel.
