Midnight Run Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster based not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of displaced puppies and dogs. Through the collaborated efforts of our dedicated volunteers, we rescue dogs and place them in foster homes until suitable, permanent homes are found. Our foster families aim to nurture, socialize and train the rescues to facilitate their development while they await adoption. We also strive to educate the public to reduce the homeless pet population by spaying and neutering, and to adopt-not shop! Our group is founded on the principle that no animal should die unwanted or unloved.
The first step is to submit your online application, which can be found under "Application" on the Home Page. It is important that the application is completed in its entirety, as incomplete applications will NOT be processed. The application will then be reviewed by one of our volunteers. If the application meets our requirements, reference checks will be performed. Note: We DO require that ALL current pets in the household are up to date on vaccinations and are spayed/neutered. All animals must be on regular monthly heart worm prevention. Once we have processed your application, we will notify you that you have been pre-approved. You will then receive an Approval Letter via email explaining that you have been pre-approved and you can then move on to the next step! Once you receive your Approval Letter, you will be asked the name of the Rescue you wish to adopt and we will "Green Light" you to send in your deposit of $150.00 in for that Rescue via the website. Your deposit will hold your Rescue until pickup that weekend and you will be given a tentative pickup date/time for pick-up! You will receive an email with specifics for your pickup with a "Gotcha Day" email! This email goes out Wednesday/Thursday and includes specifics on pickup, information on Bringing Home your Rescue and what is needed for pickup! Your Rescue's contract will be emailed to you to on Friday evening through Docusign. You will need to e-sign your Adoption Agreement and Pay your Balance through the website prior to pickup or at the pickup! You will receive copies of your new Rescues' medical records and microchip information (if applicable). Final payment is needed to leave with your Rescue!! All adopters are required to schedule their "Welcome Visit" for their newly adopted Rescue to meet their Veterinarian within 14 days of the adoption. At this visit your vet will look over your Rescue's medical records, health certificate and take care of any follow up vaccinations needed and prescribe monthly preventatives. Flea/Tick and Heartworm Prevention are monthly and mandatory to keep your new rescue happy and healthy! All puppy adoptions come with a discounted rate neuter/spay certificate to be done through our rescue vet after six months of age. Please note: Adoption Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. The Adoption Fee helps us to recover a portion of the expenses we routinely incur in rescue (boarding, vaccinations, worming, spay/neuter if age appropriate, and transport) so that we can continue to save other puppies and dogs in need.
