Marshall County Animal Control is a department of Marshall County, Alabama. We are responsible for picking up stray animals in county areas and outside of city limits as well as providing assistance to county law enforcement authorities who enforce the laws of the State of Alabama related to companion animals. Animals are not permitted to run at large in Marshall County pursuant to state law. (Code of Alabama, Section 3-1-5). Animals found running at large are held for a period of seven (7) days in order to give owners an opportunity to reclaim a lost pet. Proof of ownership is required to claim an animal (photo, vet bill, etc.)
