We unofficially began in 2004, but it was only after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 that we decided to form a 501c3. We sent a van there to rescue dogs and the experience changed us forever and we realized a passion and love that turned our committment to rescuing dogs into a formal, federally recognized non-profit organization. We received our 501c3 status in 2007 and are dedicated to our mission.
