Magic's Mission is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue based out of Buffalo, NY that works to save vulnerable dogs from abuse, neglect, and kill shelters. We are a 100% foster-run rescue and do not have a physical shelter. Our dogs reside in foster homes all across upstate NY (Albany, Utica, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, and surrounding areas). We are an all breed, all age rescue and have a soft spot for senior and special needs dogs. Our mission is to rescue the hard luck dogs from high kill shelters and in owner surrender situations, provide these dogs with medical care, and place them in loving forever homes. Inspired by Magic, we have an emphasis on senior dogs and dogs with special needs, and we feel strongly that these dogs deserve a chance at love and life. As our mission has progressed, we've also taken up the torch for discarded hound dogs, including foxhounds and various coonhound breeds. These dogs are often overlooked in shelters, and we work to educate the public on what great family members and pets they are. Our motto is "the last picked for the team is first place in our hearts." All of our dogs are provided with medical care, spayed and neutered, and microchipped before being adopted out.
