Lil' Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws exists to rescue, rehabilitate, and carefully rehome neglected and homeless maltese and other small dog. We are a 501c3 non-profit rescue group run entirely by a small group of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the welfare of these dogs.

Adoption Process

1. Fill out the application. Please allow 1 week for your application to be reviewed. 2. We contact you for a phone interview if your application is approved. 3. We schedule a customary home visit. Please understand a safe, fenced yard is mandatory if you have a backyard. 4. Once we have made a match, your Lil Paws Dog will come to you for a one week (7 days) trial adoption. The adoption fee will be collected at the start of the trial period. 5. Once the trial period is complete, if your Lil Paws Dog is a good match, we will finalize the adoption and you will sign the adoption contract. You will receive the dog's adoption file with all its veterinary records, as well as coupons and gift certificates.
