The Lander Pet Connection is a very small organization of unpaid volunteers dedicated to saving the homeless and abandoned companion animals of Lander. Our operating budget is tiny and entirely donation and grant - funded. We have no governmental support in performing a job that is normally the responsibility of city or county government. We continually struggle to survive, but we love animals with a passion and are extremely fortunate to have so many supporters!
If you’re considering adopting a pet, it’s a great idea to take a look at the application and complete it at your convenience. You can even be pre-approved as a new pet owner so when you find just the right dog or cat for your family, you needn’t wait. You can either fill the application out online or print it and complete it. Email the application to adoption@landerpets.org or mail it to PO Box 854, Lander, WY 82520. You’ll notice that the application is detailed but please don’t get discouraged. We just want to know as much about you as possible to be sure you and your new pet are a good match. Adoption fees include shots to keep the animal’s vaccinations up to date, any additional care the pet has required and animals six months and older will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Please call the Pet Connection at 330-5200 for more information or if you have any questions. This cell phone is manned by a volunteer so please leave a message. For a quicker response, please email us at adoption@landerpets.org. We are open noon - 2:00 daily so we recommend potential adopters come out to meet the friends we currently have available.
