Adoption Process

Procedures: 1.Contact John and Stephanie Wisecarver, 763-221-0375 or 763-354-0911. 2. Complete and submit the application. 3.Meet with John and Stephanie in person. 4.Complete adoption papers, if all goes well. We do charge an adoption fee, ranging from $150 to $350 depending on the age and condition of the dog. If a dog comes in that would be a good match, you will be contacted and must agree to a home visit and veterinarian reference prior to the adoption. New families are asked to sign a contract stating their new family member will keep current on its vaccinations and be an indoor dog. Lacy’s Legacy Scottie and Westie Rescue will take the dog back, for whatever reason during it’s lifetime should the new family no longer be able to care for. We will keep your application active for six months. If you have not adopted in that time frame and would like to be considered, please submit another application. If you do gain a family member from some other source, please let us know and share the wonderful news!
