When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving dog a home. You’re also reducing the demand for puppy mills and other industrial-scale breeding operations that put profit before animal welfare. KY Hopeful paws provides rescue and adoptions for small-breed dogs across Kentucky and beyond. We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3), volunteer-based rescue.
As a foster-based rescue, we only schedule meetings with approved adopters. If you are interested in meeting an animal, please fill out an application. You must FULLY COMPLETE the adoption application. We cannot process incomplete applications. All current pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations, flea, tick and heartworm preventative, and must be spayed or neutered. If you have extenuating health circumstances with a pet, please note on your application and provide a letter from your veterinarian with an explanation. Please note: due to the high volume of applications we receive, we cannot reach out to those whose applications are incomplete or are not approved. Please note: this application does not guarantee approval of your application or placement of a dog into your home. Some dogs will receive several applications and others only a few. We attempt to find the best matched home for each dog. If not selected, your application will remain on file for future dogs. Please note: Our rescue is run solely by volunteers. It may be a number of weeks before you hear back regarding your application. Please be patient as we are trying to work through applications as quickly as possible. Please note: In order to process your application you must pay the $10.00 application fee. If you are not chosen for a specific dog, we will keep your application for interest in future animals.
