Katmandu Paonia is a State of Colorado Non Profit Corporation! This is the first step in seeking IRS Tax Exempt status. We are a no kill organization. It is our mission to rescue and care for lost, abandoned or surrendered cats until permanent, safe, and loving homes can be found. We are 100% volunteer run, and pay no salaries, rent, or utilities. Adoptable cats live and play at various foster homes throughout the Western Slope of Colorado until they find permanent homes. They enjoy specially designed cat-friendly free roaming communal environments with enclosed play yard, window seats and views. Kittens are in our network of evaluated and approved on-site foster homes where they remain until they are ready for adoption. Our fosters network to help each other find the best fit for their little ones. We pre-screen with an application and finalize with an Adoption Agreement. All are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for felvFiv. Our motto is “NO Kitty left behind!”
