The Josephine County Animal Shelter is an open - admissions shelter serving Josephine County, Oregon. Our mission is to protect and promote the welfare and safety of pets and people in our community. We provide professional and compassionate care to stray animals, surrendered pets, and animal from legal cases. We aim to reunite lost pets with their owners and always have animals looking for new families through adoption.
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact the shelter at 541-474-5458 or stop by our facility at 1420 Brookside Blvd, Grants Pass, OR 97526. All of our animals are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and fixed when they leave the shelter (there are some exceptions for animals who cannot safely be fixed at that time). We are happy to discuss any more details about our animals to help determine if they are the right match for you and your lifestyle. If you already own a dog and are looking to add to your pack, please bring your four-legged friend in for a meet and greet. If you think one of our animals is the perfect fit - submit an Adoption Application. We will review the application and if it's a match, you'll sign our Adoption Agreement and be on your way home with a new family member! Please note: We only accept adoption applications in person at the shelter--no electronic submissions. We feel it is important to choose a new family member based on their personality and behaviors, not just looks.
