Connecting animals in need with people who care. Jennifer's Pet Rescue, Inc. is not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3), no-kill animal rescue charity based in Dallas, Georgia. We rely on the generosity of individuals, foundations, corporations, volunteers, and adoption events to support our services, programs, and mission, "to rescue and re-home adoptable animals who would otherwise be euthanized."
Adoption events are conducted on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at PetSmart in Hiram. We do not have an open rescue facility. We do not conduct adoptions during the week. All potential adopters are required to complete three forms: an adoption application, an adoption agreement, and a PetSmart release. Adoption applications are available on their respective pet pages and can be completed online during the week or in person at PetSmart on the weekends. Adoption agreements and PetSmart release forms can only be completed in person at PetSmart. Once you complete the adoption application, we will review the document and let you know if you are approved for adoption. After approval, the next step is completion of an adoption agreement. The agreement is a legally binding document sealing the adoption. The terms of the agreement are non-negotiable. Adopters are required to agree to treat the animal humanely, to provide proper living arrangements and applicable veterinary care, and to refrain from subjecting the animal to any convenience surgeries including but not limited to debarking, ear cropping, and tail docking for dogs and declawing and detendoning for cats. We also require adopters to agree to return the animal to Jennifer’s Pet Rescue should they no longer be willing or able to care for the animal according to these guidelines.
