My mission is to help shelters by fostering and placing local bully breed dogs who are loving, loyal and misunderstood, freeing up space and resources so that they can take in and place more animals without having to resort to euthanasia - in memory of JACKSON. In 2006, a shelter dog I loved named Jackson was euthanized at a local shelter where I volunteered. In trying to deal with my grief and the injustice of the system toward pit bull dogs, I established my rescue in 2007, in his memory, to try and make a tiny difference in even one dogs life, so they did not end up with the same fate. Ten years later, in April 2017 we received our IRS 501(c)3 charitable organization status. All our rescue pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, microchipped and vet checked. Dogs are house trained, crate trained, I teach them basic obedience and to be a loving member of the family. While my heart still belongs to the BULLIES and give them priority - we have been overwhelmed with need for other types of dogs and for cats. So we have decided, at least for now, to not be bully exclusive - this is why you will see other types of available dogs and even cats on our page. We do not have a "shelter " building - all our rescue pets are cared for in loving foster homes and an appointment must be made in advance to meet them. I am still a very small, mostly privately funded rescue trying to make a difference - one dog at a time!
