Please fill out an adoption application if you are interested in one of our animals. You must bring the application to the shelter. Please do not mail applications. You may also complete the application in person at the Jackson County Animal Shelter or email the completed form to animalshelter@mijackson.org. All animals have different adoption dates. If you are interested in a dog and already own a dog(s) and/or have children, we may set up a meet-and-greet to see how they interact. We reserve the right to make sure each animal has a suitable home for its individual needs. Adoption Fees: Dogs - $250 Small and Puppy $150 Medium and Large Breeds, Cats - $60 for 1 (Get a second cat for only $20). Adoption fees include all applicable tests, vaccines, sterilization and a microchip. If you are adopting a dog, you are also responsible for the applicable dog license fee.
