Infinite Hope is an all-volunteer IRS-approved 501(c)(3) not-for-profit animal rescue located in Brooklyn, NY. Since its inception in early 2004, Infinite Hope has placed over 1500 animals in permanent and loving homes and has provided care to hundreds more cats through TNR (Trap Neuter Return) projects. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, 100% of our funds goes towards the housing, care and placement of our animals. Our Board and volunteers donate their time and resources toward the cause of caring for and finding homes for abandoned animals, eliminating the problem of stray, unaltered animals in New York City, and caring for special needs animals until a permanent or foster home can be found. We are committed to a “no-kill” philosophy and will not accept animals beyond our capacity to care for them.
As part of the adoption process, you will be asked to complete our adoption application, which provides more information about your household, your experience with animals, and the kind of animal you are looking to adopt. We will arrange for you to meet our available cats or kittens in their foster. Once an adoption application is approved and a match has been made between an adopter and an animal, we will arrange for the animal to receive any remaining pre-adoption veterinary care. Adopters are required to sign an adoption agreement, stating they understand the commitment that is involved in adopting an animal and that they agree to provide life-long responsible care. All animals are provided with routine veterinary care before adoption, including a physical exam, vaccinations, testing for FIV/FeLV, microchipping, and spay/neuter surgery. If an animal is too young for spay/neuter before adoption, Infinite Hope will arrange for the surgery at no cost to the adopter. We require a donation of $150 per animal. This donation does not cover the full cost of care that is provided to animals before adoption. It is important to us that an adoption is the right fit for all involved - the adopter, their current companion animal(s), as well as the adopted animal. We can offer foster-to-adopt arrangements if time is needed to ensure that the adoption is a good match.
