Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c)3, all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians. Humane Tomorrow works with The Town of Flower Mound’s animal shelter to find homes for animals that have been found. Since we do not have a shelter all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found. Founded in 1997 by a small but committed group of volunteers, we have grown into one of the most respected humane organizations in north Texas, dedicated to promoting a respectful, responsible, and compassionate relationship between animals and people.
If you have decided the time is right to add a pet to your family, the next step is to complete our cat adoption application or our dog adoption application. Humane Tomorrow works with applicants to ensure that the pet is a good fit for a household. Applications are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis, as our primary goal is a good adoption placement. Once we receive your application, an adoption counselor will contact you, usually within 48 hours. All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they are interested in adopting. We reserve the right to deny an application for any reason. Our adoption fees are $150 for cats, $250 for dogs, and $300 for puppies 6 months and younger. This adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care.
