Humane Society Of St. Clair County / Snap - China Pet Shelter

Humane Society Of St. Clair County / Snap

We are the Humane Society of St. Clair County SNAP. SNAP stands for Spay, Neuter, Adopt and Protect, which is our mission. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; we rely on public donations to allow us to maintain our goals and mission. HSSCC/SNAP has developed out of a community wide need to help keep an unwanted animal population under control. With this in mind, all volunteers helped build our beautiful facility, where we offer affordable spay/neuter services to the public. We also operate a foster-based rescue program, finding wonderful homes for unwanted and homeless pets.

Adoption Process

First, a preliminary adoption application is submitted. Next, our Adoption Coordinator will email you our Full Adoption Application. Communication will then be made to further the adoption process, cover any questions/concerns and/or to setup a ‘meet and greet’. The Adoption Contract is the final document needed to complete the process. This document provides an understanding of what type of care is expected for the life of pet.
