The Humane Society of Noble County, Inc. is located in northeast Indiana and serves homeless, abandoned, stray and unwanted pets in Noble County. We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization relying on community support, volunteers, and donations to operate.
Those interested in adopting are encouraged to come to our shelter and meet our pets. Once you find a pet, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application. In order for an application to be approved we require: a meet and greet with all 2 & 4 legged members of the family; all current pets must be current on vaccinations; proof of home ownership or landlord approval to have a pet; must be in good standing with your local humane society. There is no fee to apply. We ask applicants to give us 24 hours to approve their application. Once your application is approved, you will be required to sign an Adoption Contract. By signing this contract, the adopter acknowledges & agrees: all pets adopted from us must be spayed or neutered within 30 days (or by 6 months) of age; In the event you must rehome your adopted pet, you agree to bring that pet back to us. We believe pets are meant to live indoors with their families - we do not adopt to those wishing to keep their pet outside. There is no application fee.
