The Humane Society of Burnett County, Inc.'s mission is to provide a safe haven for stray or unwanted animals, to foster the human-animal bond, to promote responsible pet ownership and to end pet overpopulation through spay/neuter.
Pre-Adoption questionnaires will be processed in the order which they are received - please note any missing information, including receipt of proof of current rabies vaccinations for pets already in your home, may delay the process. Once your application as been approved (generally within 48 hours) you will be contacted to schedule a meet and greet. If your interest is in adopting a dog, you will need to bring any dogs already in your home along to test compatibility, etc. No animals will be held prior to meet and greets. Approved applications will be kept for ONE month.
