The Humane Society of Ashland County is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals through the rescue, care and placement of injured, abused, neglected and abandoned animals into permanent and loving homes. We serve as advocates for animals, strive to end animal overpopulation, and are committed to providing community service programs and educating the public about the humane treatment of animals.

Adoption Process

Cats - All of our cats are feline leukemia tested & FIV tested, heartworm tested, wormed, micro chipped, receive vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered prior to being placed up for adoption. We charge an adoption fee of $85 for each cat or kitten to offset veterinary costs. If you are interested in adopting, please first fill out our Adoption Application. All completed applications should be emailed to applications@ashlandhumane.org. Dogs - As with all Ashland County Humane Society animals, our dogs have all been neutered or spayed, micro chipped, wormed, Rabies, and vaccinated. Adoption Fees are $175 and up.
