We run a special needs rescue based in Decatur Illinois, specializing in the care of cleft palate puppies. We take in neonates of any breed born with births defects such as cleft palates, leg deformities, heart murmurs, hydrocephalus, blind, deaf, swimmers, ect. We are the only rescue within several states that is dedicated to these pups. We have taking in pups from Illinois, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and even one from New Mexico. We can recommend/ coordinate other rescue options for pups outside of our area. Often these pups are euthanized at the recommendation of vets, tossed out like trash, drown, or left to die, because people do not know that they can have a great life or where to go for help. We want people to know we are here for these pups as an opportunity and chance at life. We help facilitate, coordinate, and transport dogs being released from commercial breeding facilities. We also take in retiring kennel dogs as we have open space. These dogs have grown up in USDA kennels, are generally under socialized, and can struggle with potty training.
