Hope Pet Rescue, Inc. - Palatine Pet Shelter

Hope Pet Rescue, Inc.

Hope Pet Rescue, Inc. was established in 2010 by a small group of dedicated, devoted animal lovers working towards a common goal – to try and save the lives of innocent animals who would otherwise be euthanized. We are avid promoters of the spay/neuter effort in order to avoid pet overpopulation, and the overall animal welfare cause. We save animals from high kill shelters all over Illinois as well as Chicago Animal Care and Control. Our rescued animals are kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Being in a home environment benefits them tremendously as they are not under stress, not susceptible to diseases commonly found in shelters or pounds, and we get a sense of their personality and traits. This also teaches them they can trust humans who will love and care for them. We are a licensed 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization entirely run and funded by our volunteers and fosters. We hold adoption events at various locations.

All dogs are current on vaccinations (rabies, distemper and bordetella), have been HW tested, microchipped, and spayed/neutered prior to being placed in a home. Cats receive rabies and distemper vaccinations, are tested for FELV/FIV, microchipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Please note, we incur the cost of the pet’s surgery; however, if the veterinarian recommends any medication or a cone to go home with, that would be up to the adopter’s discretion. You must be 21 years of age with valid a ID to adopt one of our dogs or cats and provide proof of residency. Renters must provide landlord’s information in order to confirm pets are allowed
