Heartstrings Animal Advocates, Inc., was founded on June 20, 2016. Our mission is to assist animals in high kill shelters by changing their numbers into names and placing them with furever families. This is accomplished by helping the Butler County, Kansas, shelter as well as surrounding shelters find misplaced animals furever homes.
All animals that come into our care are available for adoption after they have been spayed/neutered, have received their distemper parvo vaccine, heart-worm test, and rabies shot and microchip. Adoption fees vary based on the breed, age and requirements of the animal. Our fees run between $200-$250 to adopt. We require all animals currently in the adopter's home be up to date on vaccines and spayed and neutered. Please understand that we receive several adoption applications per animal and we review and find the best fit for the animal. It may take 3-7 days for us to review your application. It helps tremendously if you call your vet and personal references ahead of time and let them know we will be calling for a reference.
