Our Mission - To save and improve the lives of animals that have been forgotten, rejected, abandoned, or abused by society. Hearts 4 Paws is a non-profit organization run by volunteers whose shared goal is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray, and neglected animals. We never discriminate on the basis of health, age, or breed. By involving and educating the community, we work to raise the public’s awareness of the plight of homeless animals as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and receive any and all medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes. Hearts 4 Paws is a 501(c) nonprofit organization.
Application - The first step for the potential adopter is to complete an application which provides valuable information used to determine if it’s a good fit for both the dog and the family. If the application is approved, the adopter next signs a contract. Contract - The contract states that the adopter takes responsibility for the dog’s care. If in the future the adopter is unable to keep the dog, the dog must be returned to Hearts 4 Paws, where every effort will be made to find another home. Adoption Fees - Adoption fees cover the spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, and necessary medical care while the dog is being fostered. Since Hearts 4 Paws is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, the adoption fee allows Hearts 4 Paws to continue its mission of saving more adoptable dogs and placing them in forever homes. Hearts 4 Paws takes great pride in providing suitable, loving homes for its animals. We believe that rescuing dogs is an important effort that saves dogs and provides love and comfort to the humans who are lucky enough to share their lives with them.
