We are devoted to the care of unwanted, stray or abused animals in the form of providing veterinary care, housing and adoption in the McLeod County area.
1. Fill out application. To adopt the animal you’re interested in, you need to fill out an Adoption Application. Please try to be as complete as possible when filling out the application. If we have any questions or concerns, we will let you know. Our goal is to make the best fit for both the family and the pet. Be sure to ask us any questions you may have. That’s what we’re here for! 2. You're approved! Once the application is approved, you will pay your adoption fee. For animals that are adopted while still intact, we do require that they be spayed or neutered when old enough. You will sign an Adoption Certificate that gives you the date by which it must be done. It also includes a form that your veterinarian must complete and return to us. You are entitled to a rebate ($50 for cats and $100 for dogs) when you return the signed form to us. 3. Bring them home. The next step is the best part! You and your new family member get to go home together. To ensure a happy ending, all of our staff is available any time by phone to help answer questions, solve problems and give moral support. Also, don’t forget to share with us all the good news. It’s always fun to hear about the animals we have had in our care and to know they are safe and secure in their new homes.
