Founded in 2013, Happy Mutts Humane Society has helped hundreds of cats and dogs find permanent homes. Happy Mutts Humane Society is located in the High Desert of Southern California (Adelanto, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville, Oak Hills, Phelan, and Lucerne Valley). We are a volunteer-run organization dedicated to rescuing pets who were abandoned or are at risk of homelessness due to foreclosure, eviction or other financial hardship. We are a full service rescue, with dogs and cats coming to us from all over the High Desert. We provide foster services and love and care for the dogs and cats whom we rescue. We allow our adopters to return pets to us if they cannot keep them, thus preventing our rescues from ending up in city pounds. We accept all breeds of dogs and cats of all ages, including seniors and those with special needs. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Animals with special needs are evaluated by veterinarians and provided with needed treatment. We are dedicated to finding loving homes for these deserving animals and to educating potential adopters about how different breeds will suit their families. We are also dedicated to promoting spaying and neutering to end the pet overpopulation crisis. Happy Mutts receives no financial support from any government agencies to cover the costs incurred in providing for the animals under our care. Our expenses are paid by donations from caring people like you. 100% of your donations are used for the care of the dogs and cats in our program.
