With Greyhound racing ended in Florida, GPA-CNHC no longer has the resources available to bring in GH’s for adoption. The few remaining tracks are either quite a distance away or have enough groups close enough to take in GH’s that have stopped racing. Our group has been in existence since the mid 1980’s starting in Strafford, then Manchester, Concord and finally Milton Mills. We have never had a kennel nor a paid staff, relying on foster homes and dedicated volunteers. During our height of operation, we had several M&G locations and a monthly Open House. Through all the ebbs and flows and multiple leadership changes, we managed to place @ 1300 retired GH’s into loving homes. It has been our pleasure to help these wonderful dogs find families that loved and cherished them. There will still be a few larger groups that will be able to bring in GH’s, Whippets and other sighthounds from overseas.
