Serving the city of Greensburg and all of Decatur County, Indiana, we are a local government funded facility that consists of Animal Control and the Animal Shelter. Our focus is domestic animal rescue and adoptions. In spite of space limitations, our euthanasia percentage is less than half the national average due largely to our wonderful volunteers. We work very hard to provide a loving and caring environment for our animals while they are with us. We are open to the public during the above hours. Adoptions are not limited to city or county residents. Come visit us and meet your future pet! We gratefully accept donations of money and materials for animal care and enrichment.
While we work hard to keep our web posting of adoptable animals current, there may be some that have not been listed. (Strays must be held for 3 business days before being made available for adoption.) Visiting us is always the best option! If you see an animal listed on our website that you are interested in you can email shelter22@frontier.com to see if it’s still available or to find out more about it. We have a “get acquainted” yard for potential adopters to test out a pet with children and/or other owned pets.
