It is the mission of Granny Rose Animal Shelter to promote the humane care and treatment of all animals in Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside counties and to find homes for abandoned and homeless animals within this area. To this end, Granny Rose Animal Shelter will maintain a facility to provide a warm and loving environment, provide proper care, foster education, and provide spay/neuter facilities for every dog or cat that becomes a resident of our shelter. It is our ultimate goal to be so successful that, someday, this facility will no longer be required.
Adopters must be interviewed by a staff member during the adoption process. We have instituted several policies for the welfare of the animals and owners. (Receipt of application for adoption does not guarantee adoption. Granny Rose reserves the right to place animals to the homes we see best suited.)

Question by Pat Matlock (12 days ago): We found a half-grown kitten in our garage. We already have seven rescue cats, and we have no more room, and all of our cats are spayed and neutered and all of their shots. We were wondering if you could take it. We have had our cats for fifteen and thirteen years, and we are 76 and 80 so we are hoping this poor cat can go to somewhere it might be adopted out, into a forever home. Sincerely, Pat Matlock
