Our mission is to find loving homes for dogs whose guardians are at the end of their lives and have no one to whom they can leave their dogs upon their passing. We do not want these dogs to ever enter a shelter, but rather continue to live in a warm and loving home after the death of their guardian. We are Mike and Robin, a married couple who love dogs and each other. We are the parents to 5 rescues of our own. We understand the love between a dog and its human.
The adoption process includes filling out this questionnaire and signing an Adoption Agreement. We expect your new family member to be kept inside. We check vet references and with landlords before adopting our pups to anyone. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, have been heartworm tested (if old enough) and are on monthly heartworm & flea prevention. Medical needs are addressed before adoption, unless otherwise noted, including heartworm treatments. Please keep in mind that the average cost to care for a dog each year is between $500 and $1000. This is for annual check-ups, food and monthly preventatives. This amount could easily double or even triple should your dog become ill and need extensive tests, surgery or other treatments. So please carefully consider if you are able and/or willing to invest this into your pet. If not, PLEASE wait to adopt! If the dog you are interested in is no longer available please list a 2nd choice or a description of your desired canine companion. Please remember we do not always know the history of these dogs. We might guess on their breed. Please do not expect your new family member to be perfect. Every dog needs time to adjust, trust and transition to their new home. A rescued dog is forever grateful for being a loved part of your family. Although all of our animals are thoroughly evaluated, we cannot completely guarantee their health or temperament.
