Adoption Process

We are happy that you found our website and are thinking of adopting a cat from our shelter! Our job as counselors and caretakers of our fur orphans is to help match them with the right type of household. Perhaps you already have cats in your home, a dog, or young children. Maybe you want a couch potato, or a youngster with lots of spunk. That's why we're here - to insure we make the best match we can, for the cats happiness and for you and your family. While we have successfully adopted cats in a single day, we also welcome you to visit our shelter several times and visit with our fur angels and get to know them. We welcome visitors and prospective adopters who want to make multiple visits to be absolutely sure of their choice. We will never try to rush you and are happy to have you enjoy our cats on site. But we also have had great success doing same day adoptions and are confident of the studies done by national adoption agencies who have found that same day adoptions are as successful and mutually bonded as longer process adoptions. So if you, the prospective adopter, and our adoption counselor (and of course the fur orphan) are all confident of the match, then we will be happy to do a same day adoption. Then you can adopt and take home your new fur child right away!
