The Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter (FAAS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization, who donates our time and hearts to the Cats and Dogs in Attleboro and surrounding communities. We are committed to nurturing and promoting the animal-human bond and creating a community where our relationship with companion animals is guided by compassion. Our dedication and commitment is achieved through adoptions, community awareness, fostering and caring for companion animals until loving homes can be found.
Please be aware that the adoption process is NOT first come first serve basis: Quite often we receive multiple applications for the same animal. Please remember that our sole purpose is to find the best match for the animals that fall under our care. We will carefully review ALL applications and check veterinary/personal references. We contact your veterinarian references to ensure that current and/or deceased pets were properly taken care of, this means being current on all vaccinations and spayed/neutered. FAAS reserves the right to deny any applications that we deem unfit or unsuitable for a specific animal. Dogs and Puppies: All dogs and puppies receive a physical exam, rabies, parvovirus, and distemper vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chip, heartworm and seasonal flea & tick preventative, and worming (puppies only). The adoption fee ranges from $140 for puppies and dogs. Print our Dog Adoption Application or fill it out online by going to our adoption applications page. If you rent your home, you must complete a Rental Agreement as well as your adoption application. Cats and Kittens: All of our kittens receive a physical exam and all age-appropriate Vaccines. Adult cats receive a physical exam, Vaccines, combo test for FIV/FELV, micro-chip and are either spayed or neutered. Flea treatment, ear cleaning and nail trimming are included in the adoption fee for both cats and kittens. The adoption fee is $140 for adult cats. Senior cats (7 years older and up) are $110. Kittens may be adopted for $140 plus a $40 refundable deposit upon proof of spay or neuter. Print our Cat Adoption Application or fill it out online by going to our adoption applications page.
