Friends For Life Animal Haven, an all-volunteer "no-kill" organization since 1993, is dedicated to the goal of "no more homeless pets". We are committed to promoting better care and understanding of companion animals through education with an emphasis on the importance and benefits of spaying and neutering. To ensure that animals leave our care unable to reproduce and contribute to pet overpopulation, we advocate and use pediatric spay/neuter, and we have implemented a mandatory spay/neuter policy for all our animals prior to adoption. As a non-profit 501(C)(3) organization, Friends For Life Animal Haven receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of others to continue its mission.
The adoption process starts with your application. We'll ask lots of questions to make sure the pet you want fits in your family and your lifestyle. Each application is read with care and and we'll follow up with you with a phone call or email to ask some questions we may have or need more information. Your application takes a couple of days to read and follow through, and please be patient if you have applied over the weekend. We need to talk with your current veterinarian who may not be open on the weekend. We look forward to your interest in the companion animals waiting in our foster homes to find their fur-ever home! Our current adoption fees, which include spay/neuter, feline leukemia/FIV combo tests for cats, heartworm testing for dogs, first vaccinations, any additional testing and vet care to get the pet as healthy as they can be. Our pricing for cats as of 2/1/2018 is: Cats: $100.00 for one, $175.00 for two, Dogs: $200.00 and up. If your application is approved, congratulations!! You have just made your new furry family member very happy to find a fur-ever home! A volunteer will call you after your pet is settled in your home to see how the adjustment is going and to answer any questions you may have.
