The Forest County Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill shelter in Wisconsin’s Northwoods - Crandon, WI. We rescue, rehabilitate, and provide adoption of all breeds of dogs, cats, and other small companion animals. We provide veterinary services for every animal that we rescue before they are adopted, including spaying/neutering (if animal is old enough), all vaccines and boosters, a Lyme disease test, heartworm check, and deworming. We care for our homeless animals until we can place them with loving families. We are not funded by the county, state, or federal government. We are funded solely from donations (small and large) from people just like you.
When you decide to adopt an animal from Forest County Humane Society and are at least 18 years of age you must: Fill out an application and meet the animal you wish to adopt. If you rent please bring a copy of your lease or written approval from your landlord. After completion of an application, time for approval is about 36-48 hours as references are checked.
