Floyd County Animal Shelter - Prestonsburg Pet Shelter

The shelter is run by a capable of caring staff of six, headed up by manager Jackie Brown. It was founded by the nonprofit Dewey Dam Dog & Cat Protection Society in 1986, and today has one of the highest adoption rates in the region. It cooperates with numerous animal rescue groups, including Dumas Rescue.
