FAR Side Journey is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization, and we depend on the generosity and support of our donors, sponsors, affiliates, volunteers and foster caregivers. We are dedicated to saving the lives of shelter animals through rescue, education and supporting other rescue organizations and municipal animal shelters so that all animals have a safe environment while awaiting adoption. Our commitment includes forever and Fospice fostering for animals with special needs and programs that contribute to the well-being of animals currently being housed/held in municipal shelters, such as enrichment activities and grooming. 100% of all donations are applied to maximizing the number of animals we can serve. We do not compensate anyone in our organization. We never want to turn away any animal because we don’t have foster caregivers available or because of the animal’s medical needs, and we don’t want to be forced to end any medical treatment due to cost alone.
