  • July 16, 2017 To Whom It May Concern: Last year in March 2016, a Mama Cat made a home --- under our doghouse --- in the dog run --- to give birth to 4 kittens. We did our best to feed and take care of them. The word spread of our hospitality. Since that time, numerous Toms and Mamas have moved into the dog run and the garage. Two more Mamas have given birth; the latest was about 3 months ago. We now have 12 indoor cats & more outside. We can not get county help because we live in the city. We've been able to use traps provided by Critters Without Litters; and with a grant through Petco---our cost is zero to have cats fixed. Unfortunately, we can't catch them all. We have received vouchers from the SPCA Thrift Store to get the indoor cats fixed. We are retired and on a fixed income. We've spent way too much money on fixing & feeding for these cats. We even spent the money to have a kitten's eye surgically removed; due to an upper respiratory infection that invaded her eye. Was told by the vet to have it removed before it got to her brain. We've called, left messages and emailed sox rescue. No one has returned our correspondence. Is there any help you can give us? Can you rescue some of these cats/kittens? Or refer us elsewhere? Thank you Rick & Judi Neuwirth 5912 Gwendolyn St Bakersfield, CA 93304-7216 (HOME)(661)837-1045 (RICK CELL)(661)204-8239 (JUDI CELL)(661)-444-3271 [email protected] [email protected]
