e-Rescue Houston is a 501c3 non-profit, no kill rescue group. Most of our dogs and cats come from neighborhoods and shelters in and around the Houston area. We operate only on a small adoption fee and donations from the public. Our rescue was created over 16 years ago, when we would save a mix of dogs & cats from area shelters. Our roots were in electronic bulletin boards, hence the 'e' in our name. We would pull dogs and cats from kill shelters before they were euthanized, and after getting them spayed or neutered, we adopted them to forever homes. We currently TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) feral cats to keep the population down and save many kittens from living the feral life by putting them in foster homes where they are socialized. Then we put them up for adoption once they have been fully vetted.
