Dunedin Doggie Rescue rescues dogs from local and rural kill shelters on their last days. We take these dogs over owner surrendered dogs because their time is up, and a person looking to rehome their dog with some effort can find a new home for the dog can most of the time find them a home through friends and family. We bring them to Dunedin, get them fully vetted and up to date with shots and all needed medical treatment. We train and socialize them by bringing them to a variety of public places for showings and then we find a forever home for them in Dunedin or surrounding areas. We began our rescue in October 2006 and have placed over 475 dogs that were on their last days in the rural counties such as Putnam (Palatka) and Clay (Green Cove Springs), (Levy (Bronson), Citrus (Inverness), Highland County (Sebring) and our local shelter here in Pinellas. We are a no kill shelter with the exception of severe medical or behavioral issues (We have had only one to put one down in our history)
