Down Dog rescue was established in 2012 after the founders first rescue dog, Harley, passed away from old age. Courtney McFarlane adopted Harley when she was just 17-years-old sparking a life long commitment and love toward saving dogs. Down Dog is dedicated to rescuing highly adoptable dogs from death row and placing them into loving forever homes. We believe every dog deserves a second chance and we feel blessed to live in region where dog adoption and rescue outweighs breeding. We are proud that our death row dogs are now happily living in Seattle spending their days accompanying their owners to work, boating around the Puget Sound and romping around dog parks
