The Dorothy H. O’Connor Pet Adoption Center provides homeless animals a caring environment with the purpose of the adoption of dogs and cats into their own loving homes.
To be considered as an adopter, you must: Be 18 years of age or older; Have photo ID showing age and current address; Be able and willing to provide training, medical care, and loving attention for a pet; Understand that there are no refunds once the adoption is complete. Our adoption counselors will ask you many questions to determine which pet will thrive in your home. We want you to be a “furever” parent! Please understand that we deal with homeless animals with many from unknown backgrounds; they could have behavioral and physical challenges. The adoption process may seem time consuming, but we wish to maximize both the animal and adopters chance for success. Adopting a companion pet is a major consideration and responsible pet ownership demands a serious commitment.
