Dogma Pet Rescue, Inc. - Brandon Pet Shelter

Dogma Pet Rescue, Inc.

Dogma Pet Rescue, Inc. was founded on January 6, 2010 and is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization as well as a registered charitable organization in the State of Florida (CH34850). Dogma is an all-volunteer, all-pet rescue with an emphasis on rescuing mixed breed dogs (mutts!) in need. Dogma’s mission is to rescue good dogs, adopt them to the best possible homes and have fun doing it! Dogma rescues abandoned, abused and displaced dogs who would otherwise have nowhere to go and/or would be euthanized. Dogma is often a rescue of last resort. Dogma pays for all of the necessary vetting of each dog prior to adoption. Every Dogma dog is spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested and vaccinated (age appropriate). It is the broader vision of Dogma’s two co-founders/co-directors which sets Dogma apart from other rescues. Amy Howland and Ann-Marie Pearson’s goal is to establish a community centered around dog rescue. They actively work with other rescues and shelters to effectively network in order to save as many dogs as they can. It is also a passion of theirs to educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering and rescuing as opposed to purchasing a dog. Public outreach is vital assistance is offered whenever possible, especially with respect to spaying and neutering. Dogma does not have any paid staff - even the co-directors are volunteers - and all donations go directly to the care of the dogs in their foster program. Dogma has an amazing group of talented and compassionate volunteers and Dogma would not be a reality without their dedication to Dogma’s mission. Any amount donated to Dogma Pet Rescue is graciously accepted and again, all donations made to Dogma directly benefit the dogs in their care. Adopt a Dogma-dog and you will have good karma for life!
