The Dexter Animal Shelter is an extension of the Dexter Police Department. We are responsible for taking dogs off the streets and providing them a safe temporary home at our shelter. There are always new dogs coming into our facility! We believe in Second Chances and when I took over I decided we will be a NO KILL SHELTER. The Shelter is primarily run off of Volunteer Help and Donations from the Public. We are not perfect but we strive to find our animals good loving forever homes. So we make adoptions,fostering and the health of the animals our top priority.
