The Denison City Pound is located in Denison, Iowa. We work to care for animals, big and small, and work to place them in loving and permanent homes. We are an impoundment facility for the City of Denison and also for Crawford County. The animals that are brought in are picked up for running loose or just pain homeless. Because of this we usually have no background information on our animals. If the animal is not claimed within 7 days it is then up for adoption. We get so many wonderful animals that are in need of a good home.
The adoption fee for our animals is $15.00. If the animals is not spayed or neutered there is also a $50.00 deposit. This $50.00 is refunded to you once the animals is spayed or neutered. It is a requirement that all animals adopted must be spayed or neutered within 30 days of their adoption!! If you live in the Denison, IA city limits then you must also pay for a city license and also a rabies vaccination.
