In June of 2019, CAWS opened a cat shelter at our 213 Grand Avenue, Paonia, CO, location to serve our North Fork Valley communities. Amenities include large suites for nursing mothers and litters of kittens as well as individual cages. A playroom offers potential adopters an opportunity to spend quality time with individual animals and an outdoor play area gives the cats a chance enjoy fresh area and interaction. Public visiting hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 11 am- 12 noon. All visitors must enter through our rear alley door, not through the thrift shop.
Norm's Cat House is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday from 11 am-12 noon. Adoptions and Intakes are by appointment only. Please call 1(970) 527-5111 for more information. Shelter space is limited and is first come, first serve. The adoption fee for cats is $75 per animal. This fee includes an initial health exam, initial vaccines, and spaying or neutering. Intakes are taken at no cost.
