The Delmarva Cat Connection was founded on June 28, 2001 by a handful of volunteers who were previously in cat rescue work. These volunteers saw the need for a foster cat care network organization on the Delmarva Peninsula. Volunteers, along with others who joined shortly thereafter, opened their homes to homeless cats and kittens giving temporary shelter. The Delmarva Cat Connection is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 all volunteer organization dedicated to educating the public, creating awareness and promoting the sterilization, vaccination, fostering and adoption of stray cats in Delmarva. We find it beneficial for the cats to get the care and nurturing the deserve in a loving environment surrounded by people, children and other pets.
