Dakota’s Dream is a small, volunteer run, no-kill, non-for profit animal rescue group. Our volunteers are hard working and dedicated in assisting animals in need of finding a forever home. We pride ourselves on being a no kill rescue group. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance and sometimes even a third chance. PetSmart has generously donated space to our group to show and house our wonderful cats that are available for adoption. We are in the Winchester, VA PetSmart. This group is dedicated to educating the community on topics such as animal care, spaying and neutering pets, and keeping your pets safe and happy. We are a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all volunteer, foster based organization and receive no government funding. Donations keep us going and growing. Our rescue is always in need of donations: financial, food, bedding, toys, and cleaning supplies are always needed. We are always looking for new volunteers to help support our group and the homeless animals in our community. Our adoption process requires an application which is reviewed by volunteers to make sure the home is suitable for the pet. Upon approval, arrangements will be made with you to finalize the adoption. You will sign an adoption contract and spay/neuter agreement (if applicable). Yes, there is a fee to adopt an animal from us. We are a non-profit and our adoption fee helps to pay for the medical bills of the animals you are adopting from us.The fee may vary depending on the vet-work we have provided to the animal. Every animal is seen by a vet and given age appropriate vaccinations prior to adoption. If the animal is not altered we do require a spay/neuter contract to be signed.
