County Roads Rescue is a Non-Profit organization located in Cherokee County, Texas. We formed our organization to help with a county that is over-run with abandoned animals. Since forming in May of 2016, we have rescued over 900 animals. We rescue, vet, behaviorally assess and then find the perfect placement for each animal. This is a costly process and we rely on the support of our community! Currently we have 70 animals in our program. This number varies from month to month.
Our adoptions fee for adult dogs and cats are $150, they will be spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, dogs will be heartworm tested, cats will be tested for FIV or FeLV, they will have been given at least the first month of heartworm prevention or treatment, as well as, microchipped and on flea and tick preventative. Adoption fees for puppies and kittens is $150, they will have all 3 rounds of vaccines and be dewormed and have had their first month of heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention, spay and neuter will be prescheduled with our vet and as long as our vet is used the cost will be covered by us. We do not restrict our adoptions to East Texas and are willing to arrange transport for out of state adoptions if it is in the best interest of the animal.
